The hotel rooms haven't seen an upgrade in decades. Cleanliness is a minor improvement. The lighting along the trail is lacking!!! The quality of food served leaves much to be desired.

Location: the hotel was so close to the natural river as well as La Marina Wildlife Rescue Center. There was an outdoor restaurant nearby. The property served very good breakfast with rice and beans and papaya, liked it.

The gardens at Termales Del Bosque are fine. The casual paths filled with tropical plants reminded me of paradise. I loved wandering through them on my way to the thermal pools with a good range of temperatures. The rustic feel of the hot springs added to the charm. Staff members were very accommodating, even driving us to the parking lot near the springs when we had difficulty walking. Our room had its issues. The mattresses were a bit thin, and the key to the room was annoyingly hard to open. Wi-Fi was poor in the rooms, so using it effectively required going to the restaurant where it was better. Breakfast choices were limited to the traditional Costa Rican fare, which may not suit everyone, especially vegetarians. Despite these drawbacks, the experience felt authentic, especially with the fewer crowds during the rainy season, great to enjoy the pools almost alone.
